PLR vs MRR : Why I Offer Two Price Points on My Digital Products

PLR vs MRR : Why I Offer Two Price Points on My Digital Products

If you've visited my online store recently, you may have noticed that many of my digital products now come with two pricing options: PLR (Private Label Rights) and MRR (Master Resell Rights). This change wasn’t random — it was a strategic move based on what creators, entrepreneurs, and digital sellers are actually looking for when purchasing digital content.

In this blog post, I’ll break down exactly what PLR and MRR mean, why I chose to offer both, and how to decide which one is right for you.

🌟 What Is PLR?

PLR (Private Label Rights) gives you permission to edit, brand, and customize the product as your own. It’s perfect for coaches, small business owners, content creators, and freelancers who want done-for-you resources that they can tweak and publish under their name or brand.

With PLR, you can:

-Customize the product in Canva

-Use it as lead magnets, social content, or client resources

-Sell it as part of your own package (but not resell the editable template itself)

💡 Example: If you buy my “Digital Product Launch Checklist” with PLR, you can change the colors, add your logo, and offer it as a bonus in your course or lead magnet.

🚀 What Is MRR?

MRR (Master Resell Rights) gives you the right to resell the product “as is” to others and let them use it too. This is perfect for digital product sellers, affiliates, and creators who want to earn 100% profit from each sale.

With MRR, you can:

-Sell the product exactly how you downloaded it

-Allow your buyers to use the content for themselves (but not resell it again unless they purchase MRR)

-Start a PLR store of your own using these products

💡 Example: With MRR on the same checklist, you can sell the Canva template and PDF files to your own audience as a PLR product.

💸 Why I Offer Two Price Points

  1. Everyone is at a different stage
Some buyers are simply looking for done-for-you resources to grow their brand (PLR), while others want to start or scale a digital product business (MRR).

  2. It creates accessibility and flexibility
Not everyone needs resell rights — so why charge everyone for them? Offering two price points allows customers to choose what fits their goals and budget.

  3. It’s aligned with how digital business is evolving
People are no longer just content creators — they’re digital resellers, affiliate marketers, and educators. Offering both PLR and MRR ensures my store meets all these needs.
